The Palestinian Academy for Integrity (NAZAHA) Website Renewal
Project Overview:
Nazaha Academy, an integrity-focused educational institution based in Ramallah, Palestine, sought a modernized website to enhance its online presence and improve user experience. The aim was to create a professional, easy-to-navigate, and multilanguage platform to showcase the academy’s initiatives, including workshops, downloadable resources, and a newsletter subscription.
Project Scope:
I was tasked with redesigning and developing the academy’s website, using WordPress to leverage its flexibility and user-friendly interface. The project involved integrating multilingual capabilities, incorporating essential website features like downloadable resources, a newsletter system, and managing workshop announcements.
Key Features & Technologies:
WordPress was ideal for this project due to its scalability, ease of use, and extensive plugin ecosystem. By utilizing WordPress, I was able to provide a website that is both easy to maintain and customizable, ensuring long-term sustainability for Nazaha Academy.
Multilingual Support:
To cater to a diverse audience, I implemented the Polylang plugin, enabling the website to support multiple languages. This allows visitors to access the website content in both Arabic and English, promoting inclusivity and global reach.
Page Builder – WPBakery:
I used WPBakery as the page builder for seamless page design and layout flexibility. This plugin enabled me to create visually appealing, responsive pages without extensive coding, resulting in a fast and efficient development process.
Content Localization:
With the Loco Translate plugin, I ensured that all content, including theme text and plugin settings, could be easily translated into the target languages. This tool simplified the localization process, ensuring that all website sections were fully accessible in the desired languages.
Newsletter Subscription:
To foster communication with the academy’s audience, I integrated a robust newsletter system. The system allows users to easily subscribe to receive updates about upcoming workshops, new resources, and important announcements. This feature enhances user engagement and strengthens the academy’s outreach.
File Downloads:
The website includes a section where users can download important documents, such as course materials, workshop details, and academic resources. This feature was designed to ensure a smooth and secure download experience.
Workshops & Events:
A dedicated section was created to display upcoming workshops and events hosted by the academy. This allows visitors to stay informed and register for events directly through the website.
Design Approach:
The design approach focused on clean, modern aesthetics with a professional feel to match the academy’s mission of promoting integrity. I prioritized intuitive navigation, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility to ensure a seamless user experience across devices.
Conclusion:
By leveraging WordPress, Polylang, WBakery, and Loco Translate, I successfully delivered a modern, professional, and functional website for Nazaha Academy. The new design not only enhances the user experience but also supports the academy’s mission to promote integrity through education, making it more accessible to a global audience.
